TOYOTA HILUX LED CONVERSION KITS
If you drive the current generation N80 Toyota Hilux we've got you covered with a comprehensive interior and exterior LED upgrade including high beam, low beam, fog lights, parkers, brake/tail, reverse, and interior. You can order your Hilux LED upgrades through our vehicle selector via the 'shop now' link below. Simply select Hilux, drill down to the year range and select the trim level which will bring up all of the current confirmed LED upgrades for your Hilux. Some models like the SR5 in the N80 are factory fitted with an LED low beam but retain a halogen on the high beam.
TOYOTA HILUX SR5 (N80) HIGH BEAM LED UPGRADE
It sucks that Toyota has equipped the SR5 with a factory LED low beam but left the high beam as the awful yellow halogen. Don't stress we've got the perfect upgrade! Not only is the Hilux LED high beam to upgrade a perfect color match to the factory LED low beam, but it also yields a massive performance increase. Take a look at the difference in LUX readings below. Installation can be done in under 10 minutes and is completely plug & play - Check out our LED Head Light Installation Guide to give you an idea of what is involved.
TOYOTA HILUX LED VS HALOGEN SIDE BY SIDE SHOT
As shown below, the improvement in light intensity is dramatic. Importantly the beam geometry and overall light distribution are identical to the halogen headlamp.
LUX COMPARISON HALOGEN VS LED
The Light meter echos the massive gains visible to the eye. A whopping 66% net increase in Lux. Keep in mind that typically a standard halogen HB3 bulb on average will push out between 800 to 850 Lumens, while our HB3 LED Copper Head is pushing out 1,760Lumens. To sum it up that is a 48% increase in volume and 66% increase in Lux.
SR5 HILUX LED FOG LIGHT UPGRADE
Now you've upgraded your high beam and your OCD can't see past the yellow fog lamps. We've got two options for you here.
OPTION 1: is the cheapest and easiest option, which is to retrofit our LED Fog Light upgrade bulb.
OPTION 2: A complete plug and play bolt-on fog light housing swap out using our TYPE-B LED Fog Lights. This is the preferred option as you get the slick look blackout fog housing along with a mega-wide high-performance fog light beam.
HILUX SR LED CONVERSION OPTIONS
The SR Spec Hilux really got punished with halogen. Halogen DRL, halogen Hi/Lo are the biggest points of difference between the SR and SR5. Check out Rob's N80 Hilux below which has had the DRL/Parkers and Hi/Lo upgrade. Order your upgrade from our vehicle selector via the 'shop now' link below.
LED PARKER UPGRADE
To upgrade the parker globes from halogen to LED is very straight forward. It follows the same process as swapping out a globe for a replacement halogen only LED. No heat sinks to spread out, driver modules, etc.. simply plug & play as you would a normal globe and your good to go.
LED MAP LIGHT UPGRADE
The interior map light for the N80 Hilux does require minor modification as once you remove the bulb holders located on each side of the unit you will see 2 small tabs in between the metal pin connectors that obstruct the installation of our T10 LEDs. These tabs just need to be removed which can be done using a small blade or knife to just shave them back to allow access.
HIGH OUTPUT 1000 LUMEN LED REVERSE LIGHT
New to our range of LED conversion kits are the 1000 lumen high output globes. Available in T10/15, T20, and BA15S they will suit just about any car on the market. Compared to our other conversion globes they offer a much brighter illumination with a slightly different installation method. A good customer has thrown together a short video briefly describing the installation as well as giving quite a useful comparison between the factory halogen globes.
