HOLDEN COLORADO RC LED CONVERSION KITS
Our LED conversion upgrades to suit the RC Models (2008-2012) can be found in the Holden LED Conversion Kit listing with options for the high beam, low beam, parkers & rear brake lights currently available.
HOLDEN COLORADO RG LED CONVERSION KITS
For the current RG colorado, both the first iteration and the facelift have a range of available LED upgrades throughout the vehicle. Unfortunately though, as far as the low and high beams go, our current kit does not offer compatibility to upgrade as there are a few issues that may be encountered. Over our experience of testing the globes, there are no possible outcomes where the kit will work correctly. Errors such as CANBUS, tower fitment bottoms out on the reflector which doesn't allow clearance for the collar to fit correctly.
With that said though, we are seeking to have a compatible kit in the future, as soon as it's available it will be accessible via the vehicle selector and posted below.
LED PARKER LIGHT UPGRADE
The parker globe is one of the most straight forward lighting upgrades for any vehicle which is no different for the Colorado. Simply pull the socket from the back of the headlight unit and swap in the new LED globe.
LED REVERSE LIGHT UPGRADE
Another simple upgrade that can provide useful improvements in light output when reversing. Note that we also offer an ultra-high-output globe option for those looking to get that next step of light.
LED NUMBER PLATE GLOBE UPGRADE
For this application we recommend using the smaller 24mm T10 LEDs as the larger ones can be possible to fit, it will be no Sunday cruise in doing so. The 24mm still offers a substantial upgrade over the halogens and we can guarantee perfect fitment.
LED MAP LIGHT UPGRADE
LED DOME LIGHT UPGRADE
HIGH OUTPUT 1000 LUMEN LED REVERSE LIGHT
New to our range of LED conversion kits are the 1000 lumen high output globes. Available in T10/15, T20, and BA15S they will suit just about any car on the market. Compared to our other conversion globes they offer a much brighter illumination with a slightly different installation method. A good customer has thrown together a short video briefly describing the installation as well as giving quite a useful comparison between the factory halogen globes.
OEM TYPE PUSH BUTTON SWITCHES
When it comes to switches we only offer a range for Colorados manufactured between 2012 - 2016.
1. Earth / Ground (Black on STEDI Harness).
2. Normally connected to the dash light circuit to be on when the dash lights are active.
3. Connect to your relay or accessories (Blue on STEDI Harness).
4. Connect from your source with an inline fuse (White on STEDI Harness).
WARNING: Always wire switch through a fused relay.
HOLDEN COLORADO ROOF RAIL LIGHT BAR MOUNTING BRACKET
New to our line up of factory fitting brackets is the Colorado roof rail bracket. Allowing you to mount our ST2K Curved 40.5" Light bar directly to the roof rails without the need for A-Pillar mounts or a fixed roof rack. Here is a step by step to take you through the installation of the bracket and the light to the rails. Keep in mind that this bracket is only available for the Colorado SportsCat, SportsCat +, and the Z71.
STEP 1: REMOVING THE ROOF RAIL COVER PLATES
To start you will need to remove the plastic covers that sit on both ends of each rail using a flat head screwdriver taking a bit of caution as there are tabs located on the underside of the plastic cover. We also recommend placing some means of rubber or soft material under the cover whilst removing to ensure you don't damage the paint on your roof.
STEP 2: REMOVE ROOF RAILS
With the plates out of the way, you can now completely remove the roof rails from the vehicle. This is not 100% necessary but may make this step a bit easier. Alternatively, Loosen the bolts that secure the rails to the roof enough to provide enough room to easily work with an Allen key. At the front end of each rail, on the underside, you will find 2 thumb screws that you will want to unscrew and remove, replacing with the included bolts found in the box of your new bracket. The longer bolts can be tightened up leaving enough thread so that the bracket can be slid into position and removed with no resistance.
STEP 3: INSTALL BRACKET & LIGHT BAR
If the roof rails were completely removed, they can now be placed back onto the roof. The bolts used to secure the roof rails down do not need to be done uptight as you will need to allow room to access the 2 thumb screws with your Allen key. Slip both brackets into position having the tallest side directed to the front of the vehicle. Now with the help of a friend or using a large towel or cloth to protect the roof from damage during install. Place the bar up and secure tightly into both brackets, this will align the brackets to a natural angle on the roof rails.
STEP 4: SECURE BRACKET & RAILS
Make sure that the brackets are spaced evenly aligning the light to the centerline of the vehicle. Now tighten the brackets into place firmly followed by the bolts that secure the roof rails in position. Finally, re-clip the plastic covers back into place, install wiring if not already done (roof-mounted light bars - wiring guide).
